From critical home repairs to tiny homes and village development, the Fuller Center for Housing of Delaware isn’t just building structures — it’s rebuilding lives.

From Pharmacist to Air Force to Housing Advocate
✨ Building Homes, Hope, and Dignity in Delaware
At the Fuller Center for Housing of Delaware, we believe that safe, stable housing is a basic human dignity—not a luxury. Our mission is grounded in faith and lived out through action: offering essential repairs and simple housing solutions that keep families in their homes and communities thriving.
🤝 A Hand-Up, Not a Hand-Out
Our approach is rooted in partnership—not charity. We work with families, not for them, to build or repair homes. This collaborative effort empowers individuals and families to take an active role in improving their living conditions, fostering a sense of ownership and pride.
🛠️ Programs That Make a Difference
Greater Blessings Repair Program: Designed to help low-income homeowners, often the elderly and handicapped, perform basic health and safety repairs to their homes. These repairs allow homeowners to stay in houses they might otherwise be forced to leave.
Veterans Housing: We create simple, decent, stable housing with tiny houses, tiny house communities, and accessory dwelling units (ADUs) for veterans. This initiative addresses the unique challenges faced by veterans, providing them with safe and affordable housing options
Encouragement Projects: These are small, one-day projects like outdoor clean-up, yard work, installing grab bars, raised toilets, handheld showers, handrails, lever door handles, or repair projects like loose stair railings or handyman work.
📖 Our Story: A Journey of Faith and Purpose
In 2019, Dr. Michele “Dr. Tiny” Williams and her husband Jay participated in the Fuller Center Bicycle Adventure—a 444-mile journey along the Natchez Trace. Along the way, they didn't just pedal—they stopped to repair homes, build ramps, and serve communities with open hearts. This experience planted a seed in them. On the drive home to Sussex County, Delaware, they pondered, “What if we brought this here?”
Tragically, before they could act, Jay was hit by a car while cycling and passed away days later. In the aftermath, Dr. Tiny found solace and purpose in founding the Fuller Center for Housing of Delaware. What began as a shared dream became a personal mission: to ensure that no family in our state has to live in fear under a failing roof or struggle alone with the burden of unsafe housing
📍 Why Delaware?
Delaware, particularly Sussex County, faces unique housing challenges. Many families live in homes that are in disrepair, and affordable housing options are limited. The Fuller Center for Housing of Delaware aims to address these issues by providing essential repairs, building tiny homes, and creating accessory dwelling units to increase affordable housing and support aging in place.
💡 Why This Matters
Too many families live one paycheck away from housing instability. The Fuller Center offers low-cost, high-impact solutions to fill the gaps between policy and reality—so no one is left behind.
