How We Work

We believe in Partnerships and Hand Ups, not Handouts—

and our process reflects that.

As a proud covenant partner of The Fuller Center for Housing in Americus, Georgia, we share a commitment to a grass-roots, Christ-centered approach to ending poverty housing worldwide.

Our work begins with compassion and ends with restoration. From submitting a project to completing repairs with volunteers, our process is simple, transparent, and rooted in relationships.

How We Make A Difference

At the Fuller Center for Housing of Delaware, we focus on two strategic priorities

that bring lasting change to families and communities:

Keeping Low-Income Homeowners

Safe at Home

Creating Affordable Housing

for Working Veterans

We assist seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities who are living in unsafe conditions. Many cannot afford essential repairs, and without support, they risk losing the only home they know. Our focus is on health and safety improvements—like aging-in-place modifications, accessibility upgrades, and critical maintenance—so that homeowners can remain stable, secure, and dignified in the place they call home.

We create simple, sustainable housing solutions for working veterans whose salaries don’t match the local cost of living. By using tiny homes, tiny house communities, ADUs (Accessory Dwelling Units), and small-scale development, we make housing affordable near where people work, learn, play, and pray—so they can live with independence, connection, and pride.

Our 5 Step Process

1. 📝Contact Us using the "Submit a Project" Button under the photo.

2. 👀We review your request to evaluate whether we are a good fit for each other.

🏡 For the homeowner: describe your project and income level to see if you qualify.

🙏For our Faith Based Partners: describe your project to plan and execute the work.

3. 🧑‍💼We share the project with our Board of Directors to insure it meets our criteria.

4. ✅Once the project is approved, we contact you to set up an affordable payment plan for our Greater Blessings Repairs program, and our project manager will work with our volunteers to order materials, set up project dates, etc. to complete your project.

5. ❌If your project is not approved, you will be contacted and given more information on how we can help you within our limits.

What Makes Us Different

We’re not a contractor. We’re not a grant program. We’re a grassroots housing ministry that believes safe, decent housing is a human dignity—not a luxury.

Click the down arrow to discover how we stand apart:

🧱 No Interest. No Red Tape.

With the Greater Blessing Program, the homeowner promise to repay the loan amount without signing an actual mortgage agreement. They decide the monthly amount they can afford to repay and the period of time that it will take to repay the cost of repairs. There is no legal obligation to repay these loans. It is a leap of faith in the basic goodness of humankind and is proving to be very successful. Our Greater Blessings model invites homeowners to “pay it forward” when they can—not pay us back.

🤝 We Build Relationships, Not Just Repairs

We work alongside the families we serve—not above them. Volunteers and homeowners work shoulder-to-shoulder with mutual respect.

🛠️ We Focus on What Matters Most

From critical repairs to tiny homes, we focus on safety, accessibility, and housing stability—not cosmetics or quick fixes.

🙌 We Mobilize the Community

Every project is powered by volunteers, churches, civic groups, and local donors—neighbors helping neighbors.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 You Maintain Local Control

Local people know best what work is needed in their community. The Fuller Center for Housing of Delaware goes where it is asked to help. We partner with local community leaders and organizations because they know who has the greatest needs in their area. We do not “plant” partners or parachute into communities on our own.

It’s housing ministry that feels like family, not paperwork.
