Veteran Housing & Support
At the Fuller Center for Housing of Delaware, we believe that serving those who
served our country is more than a duty—it’s a promise. From tiny homes to
essential repairs, we help veterans build safe, stable lives.
Many veterans face steep challenges: housing instability, health concerns,
and the deep toll of isolation. We respond with real solutions—repairing homes,
building connections, and restoring dignity one project at a time.
For veterans without housing stability, the risks are even greater. They are
three times more likely to take their own lives, and
most are not connected to the VA. That’s why our work matters—
because sometimes the greatest support comes from community, not bureaucracy.
Our post-9/11 veterans are especially vulnerable. Too often, they return to rising
housing costs, limited job opportunities, and little support.
We’re here to change that—one home, one family, one future at a time.
As a proud covenant partner of The Fuller Center for Housing in Americus, Georgia, we share a commitment to a grass-roots, Christ-centered approach to ending poverty housing worldwide.
This initiative supports veterans in the workforce who need affordable, stable rental housing. Using tiny houses, accessory dwelling units (ADUs), and small-scale communities, we create options veterans can afford—near where they work and live.
We are currently in the proof of concept stage and seeking partnerships with military groups/organizations and land-owning institutions and individuals.
Veterans helping veterans—through skills, service, and shared experience.
Veterans may apply for our Greater Blessings Repair Program and Encouragement Projects—especially seniors and disabled veterans.
We also encourage American Legions, VFWs, and other groups to refer veterans or submit projects on their behalf, or for these organizations.
Many veterans also give back by volunteering for fellow veterans’ projects.
Here’s what the numbers tell us about Delaware’s working veterans—and why housing support is critical.
Many Delaware veterans—especially those working full time—still struggle to afford housing. This data helps guide our work and advocate for housing options for veterans near where they work, learn, play, and pray, at a price their salary allows them to afford.
